Accessible Needs at Sea
As a Certified Accessible Travel Advocate®, we are able to the meet the requests of the special needs, mobility challenged, and mature market segments. For those traveling on cruises or land-based vacations requiring mobility equipment, oxygen, and/or special needs equipment, please specify when we do your consultation so that we can assist you.
Dialysis at Sea
There are two types of dialysis: hemodialysis and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD).
Hemodialysis: Please note that most cruise ships do not offer hemodialysis treatments on any of their sailings. For guests requiring assisted hemodialysis, we will coordinate the treatments on select sailings with a company that offers their own team of doctors, nurses, as well as dialysis equipment and supplies.
CAPD: Guests on CAPD should bring all necessary solutions and equipment to perform their dialysis treatment onboard. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to have the supplies delivered to the vessel at least two hours prior to sailing. We will coordinate all of the necessary arrangements for you.
